This is really a unofficial/official site, I started running a AnimalBag.org site years ago, because someone owned the the domain AnimalBag.com having something to do with Hand Bags (beats me).
I knew the guys from Animal Bag before they moved to LA, from Charlotte NC, where I live, but I would say we were more or less acquaintances, I had been to some cool parties of theirs, hung out, and knew friends they knew very well etc...
I am having a hard time remembering what year it was, but when Boo's regular drum tech Rallo Watkins was having a baby he needed some time off from being on the road, I was lucky enough to get the invite, I used to hang around with some real good friends of Animal Bag, The guys from Gods Water another great local Charlotte band and help drum tech for Jeff Hale sometimes, So I got to travel with Animal bag around the US for a awhile and have a blast.
After Animal Bag got back off the road me and Boo were pretty good friends, and I really would have done anything for Boo, like anyone that knew him this was normal, since he would do about anything for you, I have a technical background and had ran website back before everyone on myspace had one, so it just came normal to me to think about putting up a website, hell it was easyier to tell people to go to the site when they wanted to get in touch after concerts or whatever.
So I got the AnimalBag.org domain and decided to let anyone that still wanted to keep in touch with the band and share stories and any pictures with other fans of Animal Bag, when Animalbag.com stopped paying for the domain I purchased it, so now the site is at AnimalBag.com, I think it easier for people to remember.
Boo really got a kick out of reading the web site forums, He loved to keep up with people he met on the road, and was involved with the site upkeep back before he passed away, after that I decided to just keep the site running for fans to keep in touch.
This is meant to be a meeting place for old friends and fans of Animal Bag.
This site makes no money, and does not want to! It is not that expensive and I don't mind paying for it myself. and this site will never try to sell you anything based on using the Animal Bag name.
This site is free, I have reasons that I kept a members area, but no one will ever send spam to you or harass you from this site if that happens please let me know!
I still keep up with Otis and Rich and sometimes Luke, you can leave messages for them on the boards and I can mention to them to check it out when I see them, But I am not them ,and don't want to give the impression that I am the contact person for these guys.
I try to let them know when I think someone that they used to know wants to say hi, and I always try to get them to stop in and say hi to everyone, but they are busy and not on computers as much as some of us :/
